Nellie Jessie Wills
Nellie Wills was born on the 28th of March 1887 in Goon Nure, Gippsland Lakes, Victoria, Australia and died on the 9th of April 1938 in Kilmany. She was aged 51 and died suddenly in her sleep, her official cause of death being rheumatic carditis and cardiac failure. She was the wife of Bill Armstrong and the mother of Alice Armstrong.
Nellie grew up in East Gippsland where her father was a grazier/fisherman and lived at Salt Creek. Her family owned a semi-permanent camp on the Gippsland Lakes where they spent each summer.
Nellie married Bill Armstrong in 1912 and had four children between 1913-1922. She never got to see any of her children get married or have children, as she died in 1938, but the were always very important to her.
